DESIGN
TIGHT MINIMUM TURNING RADIUS
A remarkably tight 5.7m minimum turning radius makes maneuvering through tight spaces easier than ever.
COLLAPSIBLE STEERING WHEEL
The steering column helps keep drivers safe in frontal collisions by collapsing away from the interior to protect the driver from injury, while the lower steering shaft compresses to absorb impact energy.
ELR SEATBELTS WITH PRETENSIONERS
The front seats are equipped with ELR (Emergency Locking Retractor) seatbelts to hold occupants securely in sudden stops. In a collision, the pretensioners tighter as the airbags deploy to minimize movement, lowering the chance of injury.
ANTI-INTRUSION BRAKE PEDAL
The brake pedal folds forward and inward during a frontal collision to help protect the driver’s legs.

PERFORMANCE
INTERCOOLER
The L200’s intercooler has been repositioned from the top of the engine to in front of the radiator for improved air-cooling performance
DOHC 16-VALVE LAYOUT
The DOHC 16-valve arrangement is designed to create a more complete fuel/air mixture into the combustion chamber and a steady flow through intake and exhaust for constant high performance. The precisely balanced roller rocker arms and scissor gears provide exact valve timing for more powerful combustion.
TURBOCHARGER
The turbo system adds an impressive boost to air intake pressure, producing more power from each cylinder stroke.
HYBRID LSD
The hybrid-type LSD gives excellent off-road response, combining the torque-sensing benefit of helical gears and a speed-sensing of a viscous coupling unit, all designed to work together with ABS.
The Limited-slip Differential (LSD) uses an internal clutch escape mechanism to prevent torque loss if one wheel starts spinning.
MANUAL 5-SPEED TRANSMISSION
The 5-speed manual transmission is available for those who prefer the feel of control that only a stick shift can give. The smooth lever movement and intuitive placement make shifting easy and confident.
