Standing for ‘Active Sports Crossover’, the ASX bridges the gap between Mitsubishi’s conventional passenger cars and its rugged off‐roaders. Practicality and versatility are keys to the appeal of the ASX. Safety features on the ASX

M-ASTC
Active Stability Control
If sensors located throughout the car detect unstable
movement, such as lateral slippage, the Stability Control function
automatically controls the brakes and engine output to stabilise the
car.
Traction Control
If the sensors detect wheel slip when starting on
slick surfaces, such as a mud-covered road, the Traction Control
function automatically brakes the slipping wheel and governs engine
output to enable a smoother start.

Brake Override System
In the event of the brake and accelerator pedals being pressed at the same time, the engine ECU prevents unintended acceleration by giving priority to the braking operation.

AWD 4WD system
The ASX 4 wheel drive features Mitsubishi’s on-demand AWC 4WD system meaning better grip on slippery road surfaces and over tough terrain or greater stability when towing.

ESS (Emergency Stop signal System)
When heavy braking is applied, the ASX automatically turns on the vehicle's hazard lights to warn other drivers behind you.
